Remembering Claire Nihoul Parker

It is with great sadness that the OSPAR Secretariat marks the passing of Claire Nihoul Parker, former Executive Secretary of the Oslo and Paris Commissions, and then of the OSPAR Commission.

Claire worked for the Commission(s), firstly as Deputy Secretary, and then as Executive Secretary, in the 1980s and 1990s, and is remembered for her dedication, determination, and hard work to deliver the objectives of the Commissions.

By members of the OSPAR Secretariat, past and present, who worked with her, Claire is very fondly remembered for her enthusiasm, dynamism, wit, humour, kindness, and as a very interesting and cultured person.
